Big surprise announcement today as Blizzard Entertainment revealed that Destiny 2 will be appearing alongside their games on their application. They have partnered with Bungie and Activision to support the PC version of Destiny 2, exclusively on Battle.net !

This will allow Destiny 2 to plug in with Blizzard’s existing global network, giving the chance to the game’s developers to focus their energy and resources on the game’s content. Blizzard also said that this partnership was solely around Destiny 2. There is no plans to support other third-party games with battle.net at the moment. They want to keep their quality standards for their players and therefore, do not want to jump into things lightly.

Destiny 2 will be integrated in the app’s social features. This means that players will be able to chat with each other the same way they already can in Blizzard’s games. However, Destiny 2’s servers and customer service will be maintained by Bungie and not by Blizzard.

This was some very big and unexpected news from both companies today, but many players are excited to finally get a PC version of Destiny 2. More details will be available later this year!destiny 2 logo
