What’s cooking in PTR that you need to know for Competitive?
A recent PTR patch note was released and it featured quite a few important Hero updates that will impact Season 4’s Competitive Play. Bastion has the most changes on his various Configuration and abilities. The Configuration: Sentry will have a decreased deploy time. The bullet spread while in this mode will also be increased by 50 percent and always be at maximum (no longer increases as the weapon is fired). However, the headshot damage multiplier was removed and he no longer deals critical damage. The Configuration: Tank will no longer grant bonus armor and the Recon magazine size was increased, while the bullet spread was decreased. Concerning his Self-Repair ability, it will now be able to use it while moving and will no longer be interrupted by taking damage. A new resource meter was also added to use Self-Repair. Finally, Bastion will be getting a new passive called Ironclad. This will allow Bastion to take 35% less damage while in Sentry or Tank configuration.
Another small but important change in PTR is an update of Mercy’s Resurrect. While using Resurrect, Mercy will now become temporarily invulnerable with the allies being revived. This should prevent her from having to sacrifice herself too often to be able to get the most out of her ability.
For now, all we know about Season 4 is that it will be starting a week after the Season 3 ends. It is scheduled to be on February 28, but no other information has been confirmed yet.
